A Taste of Italy

Join us for a memorable week savouring the many delights of Lazio. Whether you choose to stay in a farmhouse in the medieval hill top village of Ornaro where the cookery courses are held, or a four star hotel in historic Rieti, in the heart of the Italian countryside you will experience the Italian way of life.

We offer the opportunity for cooks of any ability to learn with local ladies, skills and techniques that have been handed down through the generations. All courses are in Italian and are translated by our bi-lingual guide. Numbers are limited to small groups to make sure everyone has a ‘hands-on’ experience. Later you will have the chance to taste local wines when eating the dishes you have prepared. Other meals are taken at local restaurants so that you can compare and taste other regional dishes, giving you some fantastic ideas for entertaining at home. Courses also vary according to the seasons – ‘Give Christmas an Italian Flavour’.

Included in the package are excursions to the nearby gardens at Villa D’Este, the waterfalls at Marmore and the sights and shops of Rome. A Taste of Italy gives you an idea of how diverse Lazio can be and hopefully will whet your appetite for a return trip!
